Hi,

Pls can any one help for creating pv,vg and lv. while creating the pv i m getting some error

pvcreate /dev/sda
/dev/sda: read failed after 0 of 4096 at 0: Input/output error

/dev/sda: read failed after 0 of 4096 at 4096: Input/output error

Your disk has probably failed. Get a new disk.

It's not worth it to try and use this disk with known bad blocks in the beginning of the disk. If the metadata area fails, you will lose access to all data on the disk.
