I recently installed the amd64 version of Ubuntu 9.04 server on my ml370 g6. Instead of LILO I used grub. I've had no panics on the system. (All my selections during the install were default.) My hardware differences are (6GB unregistered, L5520, 36gig sas, nc375i).

I cannot suggest how to analyze the panic,

You might consider using adm64 if you aren't already; also try using grub.

During the first one or two installations, I did run into problems by selecting non-default choices which resulted in grub not installing. However, once the system was up, I've had no problems installing software, or upgrading the kernel to something more recent.

robert
