topic Auto scripting of linux PSP in Operating System - Linux

I have spent the last few hours searching this site (Forums, KB, documents) as well as the guru of all knowledge, Google - and have come up without an answer; hence I shall post it here.

Does anyone know if it's possibe to create an auto response file for the PSP installation on linux? In this case, PSP 8.25 - install825.sh

I see nothing out there indcating this is an option - good, bad, or otherwise. And the install script seems complex enough that perhaps it isn't such a great idea.

Unattended installs of routing software, however, are always a good thing.

Thanks
Bill
You can try with expect to create auto answers for the installation script.

regards,
ivan

Bill,
You can use the -s or --silent option to install the PSP via a script. If you want to configure particular configuration values for the agents, etc., you can use an inputfile as show in the Advanced Topics section of the PSP User's Guide. The link to the latest version is:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00472061/c00472061.pdf

Regards,
Michael Garner
HP HPSUM/PSP Architect
