Shalom,

I will take a wild guess and say you are using the original RHEL 5 or update 1.

Only update 2 and above has the proper driver for G6 server disk array.

SEP

Shalom,

I'd go with Red Hat Five update 3 or 4.

Fedora is a totally different animal, and is too bleeding edge for me.

Depends on how you are using the system.

Hatzlacha, lcha.

SEP
Hi Steven,

thanks for your help.
Could u please let me know which kernel RHEL5 version 3 or 4 is built on?
I'm currently in Africa with a very low bandwidth and can't afford downloading a 3/4 Gb file.
Was wondering if the last CentOS 5 kernel-2.6.18 will be sufficient enough.
(That's just a test environment I'm trying to set.)

Thanks again,
Bastien.

I have successfully installed RHEL5.4 on DL380g6 that has a HP Smart Disk Array controller P410i. No additional driver required. No issues encountered.

Centos 5.4 should work for your server.

Cheers
