Debian Linux hard disk clone

I’m new in Linux, and I want to take total backup from this hard disk with Debian Linux operating system to other one to use it at any urgent case.
I know by using the ‘dd’ command, but how can I know the source and the target???
I want to take clone disk, I mean copy all the hard disk content with the same all configuration.
Kindly advice me, it’s an urgent case.
