My linux console is locked , it only pop some error message onto the console, I can't input any key , how can I reset the console ? thx.

console locked.
try ctrl+z(stop the current process), ctrl+q(if scrolling is stopped), ctrl+c, ctrl+d. if no help, try restarting the console.

you need to find which is causing this. normally there should be an entry in syslog.conf which causes this on hp box. not sure abt linux. dont have a box around.

I tried ctr + q and ctr + d , but still no response , how can I reset the console ?

Ctrl-F1 should take you into text mode.

At this time,you will be prompted for the root user and password.

Then you can log in and eiliminate the lock file if that's what's ailing your system.
