      <title>Nagios NRPE issue on RHEL5U3</title>

      <description>Dear Sir; &lt;BR /&gt;I have installed nagios-plugins-1.4.13 and NRPE-2.12 on Redhat Enterprise Linux 5.3. &lt;BR /&gt;When i execute the following command as root: /usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_nrpe -H localhost -c check_users &lt;BR /&gt;i get the following error on the terminal:&lt;BR /&gt;NRPE: Unable to read output&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;When i examine /var/log/message file i found this error message: &lt;BR /&gt;Jan 21 15:24:05 sv-t-house-nat xinetd[15912]: START: nrpe pid=21606 from=127.0.0.1 Jan 21 15:24:05 sv-t-house-nat kernel: check_users[21608]: segfault at 00000000b1362ea8 rip 0000000000402c17 rsp 00000000b1362e84 error 4 Jan 21 15:24:05 sv-t-house-nat xinetd[15912]: EXIT: nrpe status=0 pid=21606 duration=0(sec) &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Could you please tell me how to solve this problem? &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Best Regards..&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Shalom,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This looks like bad software to me. Segment fault usually comes from software that has problems not caught in quality assurrance.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I'd look for different versions of either the nagios plugins or NPRE&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>
