Shalom,

I would definitely start with the ping test for network connectivity.

I'd also make sure the ilo firmware is up to date.

In general on G5 servers, I had to update the firmware/bios(whatever it is officially called) immediately upon delivery to insure proper cluster functionality.

SEP

Hi,
I got a problem with ilo fence in redhat cluster. I have configured ilo fence as below a part of cluster.conf:
<FENCEDEVICES>
<FENCEDEVICE agent="fence_ilo" hostname="10.10.1.4" login="admin" name="ilofen" passwd="111111"></FENCEDEVICE>
</FENCEDEVICES>

Then,
# fence_ilo -a 10.10.1.4 -l iap -p iap.ac.cn -o status
Unable to connect/login to fencing device

please help me!
Thanks!

From all servers in the cluster can you ping 10.10.1.4 ?

Are you using the correct password ?

Thanks you guys for applying! I hava solved the issue. the reason is that I have not configure a eth for ilo communication.

Because RedHat documents refer to ilo fence so little, can you provide some resources or documents for configuration and troubleshooting.
