    <description>pure performance collecting and reporting tools, i have 3 favourites. they are:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;cactus: &lt;A href="http://www.cactuscode.org/" target="_blank"&gt;http://www.cactuscode.org/&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;it can be used to report on anything, people use this in their home-domotica projects to graph out temperatures and stuff like that.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;pure OS performance tools are:&lt;BR /&gt;monitorix: &lt;A href="http://www.monitorix.org/" target="_blank"&gt;http://www.monitorix.org/&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;and&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;collectd: &lt;A href="http://collectd.org/" target="_blank"&gt;http://collectd.org/&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;both are worth a look, and oss/free...&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Shalom,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Nagios does some of what you are looking to do.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Glance for Linux if HP still offers it, does this, but with ITO the licensing is quite expensive.
