Hello,

I have the following HP Proliant servers DL380, DL385 and DL740 running Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS 4 and running Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3

Can anyone tell me how do I find out the CPU Processor Model number in each of these servers?

Thank you

Shalom,

There is a fairly good amount of information here:
/sys/devices/system/cpu/

cpuspeed command if it works on your system (won't work on mine) might give you some data.

also:

less /proc/cpuinfo

See if that is enough.

SEP

If you have Proliant Support Pack installed, you should have the hpasmcli command.

Run:

# hpasmcli

Then at the prompt:

hpasmcli> show server
RHEL3 is not supported by now:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?prodNameId=3716247〈=es&cc=ve&taskId=135&prodTypeId=18964&prodSeriesId=3716246

In fact, you need the hpasm RPM (included in PSP) but you may find it as a separate package.
