NIC's Huge packet loss

On a new RHEL server, we have Interfaces dropping packets at a very high rate to interfere with the application. Please could someone point to somewhere to look? Please help.

Sorry Mike, I did not want to sound rude or discourage you from posting.

It's just practically impossible to say anything helpful without knowing:
- which server model
- what network card model
- what RHEL version
and so on...

Have you verified the speed and duplex settings of the network switch and the network card itself?

Do they both show the speed/duplex that you expect to see?
