    <description>rebooted server and now boot says "couldn't find device with UUID...."&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I boot to maintenance mode, pvdisplay, vgdisplay etc.. and both the disks are there with matching UUIDs of those complained about during boot.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I had rebooted yesterday with no issues.  Devices are there and accessable.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;any ideas ?</description>

      <description>Do you use UUIDs in all your OS partitions?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Can you post your /etc/fstab please?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Also, what kind of server? Is it a Proliant with a SmartArray controller or do you boot from the SAN?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Cheers.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>All storage is LVM.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;this is actually running in OVM with file based backingstore, I have resolved the issue by changing the device type of the two disks in ths VM to hdX from sdX..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;the oddity was that there have been no issues until now.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I will have to try and recreate in a test environment and get back to you when I can .&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks for the response..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;T.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
