There really isn't.

print_manifest is part of Ignite which has not been ported to Linux.

You'll have to develop a script or use the GUI hardware browser to get the same kind of information.

SEP

Hello,

as for installed SW there is really no bullet proof way to do that. Assuming that you do install all your SW via RPM a simple

rpm -q -a | sort

might proof instructive.

As for the HW, there is lots of information in /proc . Can you be more specific on what you are looking for?

Greetings, Martin

Hi,
You need to collect the info from different commands only.
For Hardware info:
#lsmod ----Lists the included modules.
#scanpci ---Lists the pci devices
#dmesg ---- Shows you all the boot time messages. You can see in /var/log/messages file also.
You can get more info from /proc directory like sharedmemory, memory, etc.

For the installed packages
#rpm -qa
sysreport is ok!
its problem is that it's a bit verbose. Maybe is what the poster wants.
Peace, R.

I find myself at odds with Steven Protter's posting. A VERY RARE occurrance.

SysInfo for Linux does exist, and has most of the same functionality that exists for HP-UX.

It does still have a few bugs, as we test it for various Distributions and Releases of Linux, and different hardware platforms.

Usually this utility is part of getting Linux support from HP. However, I'll be happy to provide the rpm should you like a copy.

Regards,

Craig
