      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;Is there any command that is similiar to ioscan on hpux, that is available on linux. either redhat or Suse?&lt;BR /&gt;ioscan on hpux provides a listing of hardware that is installed on the system.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks in advance&lt;BR /&gt;Andrew</description>

      <description>There is no ioscan in Linux. There is a tool, available for free download, called lshw. This tool goes through and parses the /proc filesystem to get the info you seek.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Also available is the cfg2html tool for Linux. This is a wonderful tool as well.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Essentially, these tools parse through the /proc filesystem to find the info.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
