topic F5 Load Balancer Implementation in Operating System - Linux

Though it may be a wrong place to ask question about F5 implementation, I venture to do so as I always get answer/hint from wise guys in this forum.

We have a F5 BigIP, to test load balancing working, I configure a VIP and want to test simple website installed on both nodes under a pool. My question is: when client access website, does he use VIP ip?

Please see this:

-------------------------------
---> LAN gw (172.16.16.1)

|

| ---------------------------------------------------->   Website (172.16.16.99, Intranet)

|-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------> LAN clients (172.16.16.x)

|

|    (172.16.16.9)

----------------

|  F5BigIP |

----------------

|    (10.10.100.1)

|

|

--------------------------------- (pool)

|                       |

|                       |

10.10.100.3        10.10.100.4

Virtual Server IP=172.16.16.10, for the above pool nodes that are NATed to 172.16.16.11 & .12.

Both nodes loaded with a website. But client from LAN should only need to point website to Virtual Server IP, let BigIP load balance the traffic.

Thanks a lot.

Well, no one interested in F5, then I close it.
