Anil,

Yes, that is how I have Exceed configured. I have it working in XDMCP broadcast mode. It sees a couple of other servers, but not the two linux servers that my users need to see.

Thanks

Hi,

Does anyone know how to get x-server to broadcast? We use Exceed here and I need the linux server to broadcast itself so that users can just click on the server in Exceed (broadcast mode) and they will go right into Gnome.

Thanks!

It is set to true already and I am not seeing it from Exceed. I have disabled linux's firewall as well. I have looked throught the /etc/init.d scripts and can't find how to restart the x server either. Any other ideas?

Thanks for the response, btw.

I think in exceed configuration, you need to connect method to broadcast. Once that is set, you will get a list of servers that can be connected to.

Is that what you want.

Anil

Sally,

Is there a firewall between linux machine and exceed machine?? (not linux's firewall machine.) It uses certain udp ports. That need to be open.

Anil
