      <description>Hi all,&lt;BR /&gt;i have some "1 bilion dollars" question :&lt;BR /&gt;1) i would like to know if it's possible,&lt;BR /&gt;with sles9, change my current kernel&lt;BR /&gt;(it's 2.6.5-7.97-default) with kernel 2.4&lt;BR /&gt;(and what steps i have to do) ;&lt;BR /&gt;2)(then) with such configuration (sles9 with kernel 2.4), could Oracle 9i run ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;many thanx in advance &lt;BR /&gt;regards&lt;BR /&gt;pg&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Shalom,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1) If the OS shipped with 2.6 it will not work properly with 2.4. Many utilities and networking are tightly integrated with the kernel.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;2) If such a thing was possible, Oracle would not be supported because it was not tested with the OS/kernel combination. It is doubtful the install program would let you install Oracle.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>
