      <title>[HELP!] e2fsck fails with my ext3partition</title>

      <description>Suddenly, my RHL9 system stopped working.&lt;BR /&gt;60GB Maxtor disk has 3 partitions:&lt;BR /&gt;- /dev/hda1&lt;BR /&gt;- swap&lt;BR /&gt;- /dev/hda2&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;/dev/hda2 seems to be having problem, while /dev/hda1 can be accessed normally.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I tried &lt;BR /&gt;# e2fsck -y /dev/hda2&lt;BR /&gt;but ended in&lt;BR /&gt;"e2fsck: e2fsck_read_bitmaps: illegal bitmap block(s) for /"&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Could someone pleeeease help me?&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Did you try a "badblocks /dev/hda2" ? and/or try a "dmesg | grep -i ext[2-3]"&lt;BR /&gt;Maybe you've HW pbl on you HDD/controler.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;That should give you clues about the trouble. Probably an HW issue...</description>

      <description>Explore2fs saved my files!&lt;BR /&gt;After mounting the disk as USB external disk on my Windows PC, I used Explore2fs to read most of the files and to save them on my Windows PC.&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks anyway.&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
