      <description>Shalom KC,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Almost universally NAS storage supports NFS version 3 server/client protocol. Some units support version 4 and I'd want that feature because file locking is easier.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Some units also support Samba and this is helpful from the standpoint of easy integration of Windows Clients.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Insist on a realistic test before purchasing, a bad NAS is very tough to deal with once purchased.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can build your own NAS device and even make it redundant with a couple of old servers. I've done such a thing with Linux myself.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>
