Hi,

This entry can be closed - ended up commenting out postfix logwatch entry - the mail group have their own monitoring reports anyway so would have duplicated that.

Robert.

Hi,

We have implemented postfix as an internet mail backbone. The group which monitor this is separate from us. I wish to send the logwatch postfix mail component to them while retaining the remaining system details for us. I tried placing MailTo in the postfix.conf file /etc/log.d/conf/services however this hasnt helped. I havent found any useful doco that explains the whole logwatch configuration.

Any help would be good.

Robert.

Robert,

You can just print the postfix report to STDOUT and pipe that to mail (change <USER>):

logwatch --print --service postfix | mail <USER>

I've completely rewritten the postfix filter. Its available at :

http://www.mikecappella.com/logwatch

It is also available in the logwatch CVS tree.

MrC</USER></USER>
