      <title>Cannot use port 1521 for Oracle</title>

      <description>I have setup SuSE8, installed Oracle. From remote PC I can telnet and ftp to this Linux server, but I cannot use SQL*Net to connect to the Oracle database, which is using port 1521.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have shutdown the fire wall, but no hpe !&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please advice. Thanks</description>

      <description>use lsof or netstat and see if the listner is actully running on port 1521.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;-balaji</description>
