Iam geting "<0>Kernel panic - not syncing: Fatal exception" error while booting from CD.
What could be the chance?..

Considering the error messages:

MCA EVENT occurred : SAL error processing
MCA/INIT might be dodgy or fail.

I would try start the installation with:

linux nomca

is that tested CD? what is the hardware model?

Red Hat 5.1 was released this weekend. My we have a busy beaver sysadmn here.

An Itanium server requires IA-64 media, it won't work off the EMT64 Intel media. Do you have the right media?

I tried the following commands at EFI Shell, and its working....

EFIshell: Acpiconfig default
EFIshell: reset
EFIshell: acpiconfig enable single_pci_domain
EFIshell: reset
