Boot into Single user mode from EFI prompt

Hi,

I have an HP Itanium running ia64 RedHat 5.1. How can I boot linux into single user mode from the EFI screen?

I don't see anything about elilo.conf I am in the EFI Boot Manager and it has a menu :

Redhat Enterprise Linux Server
EFI Shell
Boot Option maintenance menu

I went into the boot option menu and didn't really find anything.

Returned on RedHat Enterprise Linux Server pressed TAB and then entered "linux s" and it worked.
