Oracle ships expensive tools that let you connect to a httpd server and generate applications that work with their database.

I have a substantial LAMP infrastructure and am looking for easier to use tools then just writing PHP code from scratch.

I want to create some simple forms for modifying data in the mysql back end database.

Surely an open source tool exists.

OS: RHEL(Centos) 5.2, mysql 5.x

Fully patched, 32 bit.

SEP

I'm not sure, since I haven't really tried them out, but there's some open source php frameworks around like CakePHP and Fusebox that might do what you're looking for.

www.phpframeworks.com indexes some of them.

Best regards
Fredrik Eriksson
Though it lacks Rapid Application environment, I think bluefish will do the job as far as developing very simple data manipulation applications.

I'm going to give that a try.

Closing the thread giving effort points.

SEP
