    <description>Do you have 256 logical volumes in your system?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You may have hit one of the limits of the LVM-1.0.8 system. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;256 logical volumes is quite a lot - do you really need that many? Maybe you should re-think your disk space allocation policies and reorganize the disk space into fewer but larger LVs.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;MK</description>

      <description>Hi All,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I am getting the following error while creating a logical volume on my Linux Box.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;lvcreate -- no free LVM block device specials available&lt;BR /&gt;OS:Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES release 3 (Taroon Update 9)&lt;BR /&gt;2.4.21-57.ELsmp&lt;BR /&gt;lvm-1.0.8-14&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks&lt;BR /&gt;SEN</description>

      <description>Thanks all,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I got it.&lt;BR /&gt;I have 256 LVS on my system.I was thinking abt LVs/VG but it is LVs/System. I have reached the max. for RHEL 3.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks&lt;BR /&gt;SEN</description>
