Hey;

I just had to swap out my firewall with fedora core 8 system. The old one was a mandrake 10 system; tells you how old that puppy was.

I'm trying to find pine for fedora core 8 and not having much luck. From the dates on the searches I'm seeing, it looks like pine isn't being supported anymore? That is an absolutely outstanding text based mail program.

If pine isn't around anymore, does anyone have any info on a text based alternative?

Appreciate any info you can provide.

Thanks.

Doug O'Leary

hey;

A little more searching... alpine is the answer. Not sure why they couldn't call it the same thing since it looks so much like it, but there you go. alpine is pine's replacement.

Doug O'Leary
