topic setup printer on redhat 8.0 in Operating System - Linux

I have a strange problem printing a postscript-file on RH 8.0 via CUPS to a non-postscript-printer.
Everything worked fine with RH 7.3. At the moment i use an dekjet 320 but the problem also appears on all other printers.
The problem is, that the size of the printed graphic on the printer is much too large.
If i view the file with gostscript everything looks ok. If i convert the file with ghostscript to PCL and print this PCL-File everything is also ok.

Any ideas ??

Yes,

your printer is mis-interpreting your file resolution, thus giving back a wrong output size.

Read Marc's experiment to fix it at :

http://www.linuxprinting.org/pipermail/brother-list/2003q1.txt

hth

J

Prerender Postscript parameter selected?

What printer model?

Postscript PPDs can be found on the printer vendor's website. Adobe also distributes PPD files for many Postscript printers.

To my first message i attached such a postscript file. All Printers work in CUPS in the same way. I tried deskjet 320, deskjet 1600, laserjet 4100, epson lq 570 and get allways the same result.
Thanks for your answers

- Michael
