up2date doesn't work ssl error

trying to update a linux server (enterprise 4) but getting a ssl error. Worked fine a few months ago when I last did it. Can telnet to redhat using 443, so I presume that it is not a firewall issue. System date is fine, also updated the hwclock.
# rpm -q up2date
up2date-4.8.1-33.el4_8.1

Are the actual command you used and the
actual error message you got _both_ secrets?

up2date might need a revision or update.

This is however likely a problem with the Red Hat site. You should report the exact error to their support staff.

It happens some times because of redhat site, have u tried a couple of more times.

what is exact error.

Thanks for the replies. Here is the actual error message:
There was an SSL error: [('SSL routines', 'SSL3_GET_SERVER_CERTIFICATE', 'certificate verify failed')]
A common cause of this error is the system time being incorrect. Verify that the time on this system is correct.

I have just tried again, same result.

I will report this to our redhat support.

I ran into this issue in January when Red Hat changed IP addresses for their Red Hat Network servers. It caused an issue on our firewall.
