    <description>Hello,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;short version:&lt;BR /&gt;How do I do a automated text mode install for suse ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;long version:&lt;BR /&gt;I am automating installation of suse. I generate bootable iso (or partition), with a commande line kernel that start the installation.&lt;BR /&gt;commande line look like &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;label $servername&lt;BR /&gt;      kernel linux&lt;BR /&gt;      append initrd=initrd splash=silent hostip=$IP netmask=255.255.252.0 gateway=$gw install=nfs://$SERVERFTP/stuff/disc.iso highres=off  autoyast=http://$SERVERFTP/autoinst/$servername.xml&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;(variable are resolved of course with correct values).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The problem is that installation is always in graphic mode and I would like to make a text install.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Is there any flag I can use ?&lt;BR /&gt;I have tried text, console and serail but without result.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Any Idea ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Jean-Yves Picard</description>

      <description>Jep, textmode=1 should  help.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Full list: &lt;A href="http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Linuxrc" target="_blank"&gt;http://en.opensuse.org/SDB:Linuxrc&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;We use&lt;BR /&gt;- textmode=1&lt;BR /&gt;- TERM=linux&lt;BR /&gt;- console=ttyS1,115200&lt;BR /&gt;to get the ncurses/text mode when installing thru the iLO Virtual Serial Port (vsp).</description>
