Upgrade drivers using PSP/SPP. Really needed?

Hi,

I've had this question for a while regarding the driver upgrade done by PSP (now SPP). Is it really needed? Shouldn't there be "good enough" drivers in Red Hat Enterprise Linux distro?

Ugo,

There is no need to upgrade distribution provided drivers, unless you have specific requirements or was asked to do so by HP support.
