Upload the configuration file.

Consider dropping and reconfiguring the printer with the GUI configuration tool, paying special attention to who can use it.

If you are integrating into a microsoft environment, the Linux machine needs an account on the Primary Domain Controller to show up in the Network Neighborhood.

Clear up a question for me please. CUPS is samba right? If not, consider samba. I'm an expert in samba configuration for file sharing, but have little experience with printer sharing. The steps above did allow me to do it last time I tried.

SEP

I configured a printer using CUPS. But I can't print. When I press on PRint test page, it says, I don't have permission. I am logged in as 'root'. But I can print from shell prompt # with the lp command. What could be the reason? I know this must be pretty simple, and surely some of you might know the anwers. Asking for help please...
Sam

Thanks for the reply. I didn't see this for a long time. I am not familiar with Samba. This is a mixed Windows Linux HPUX environment. There is a jetdirect printer and then there are printers on PCs. I have a printer directly connected to the linux machine Iam using too.
How can I invoke samba? How can I configure with full rights?
If you can let me know, I would appreciate
Regards
