    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am newer to Linux management so please bear with me.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am running a Red Hat 5.4 and I am seeing the following in the dmesg as well as the /var/log/messages.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;sd 3:0:1:28: Device not ready&lt;BR /&gt;sd 3:0:1:28: SCSI error: return code = 0x08000002&lt;BR /&gt;Result: hostbyte=DID_OK driverbyte=DRIVER_SENSE,SUGGEST_OK&lt;BR /&gt;sddh: Current: sense key: Not Ready&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Add. Sense: Logical unit not supported&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;There are multiple messages for diffrent disks&amp;nbsp;, for example sddh:, sdde: sddf: etc.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am running an HP eva 6000 with QLogic Corp. ISP2532 card, and many san disks presented, I am using Veritas Storage Foundation 5.1&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;I was not seeing these errors last week, and the only change I made was I ran a patch update from Red Hat and brought the machine up to date.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Am I starting to see a disk failure?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;uname -a&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Linux&amp;nbsp;LinuxServer.localhost 2.6.18-308.4.1.el5 #1 SMP Wed Mar 28 01:54:56 EDT 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux&lt;/P&gt;</description>
