sendmail question

Hi,

Iam having a problem getting sendmail working on Linux RH AS3.1. The sendmail-cf pkg has been installed and everything looks fine:

i.e.
# ps -ef | grep sendmail
root 4347 1 0 11:39 ? 00:00:00 sendmail: accepting connections
smmsp 4356 1 0 11:39 ? 00:00:00 sendmail: Queue runner@01:00:00 for /var/spool/clientmqueue
root 4569 3924 0 13:15 pts/2 00:00:00 grep sendmail

However I am unable to send a test mail to my address which is on the network.
i.e.
#echo test | sendmail <EMAIL_ADDR>

I think the relay needs to be configured in the sendmail.mc file but which parameter needs to be configured?

Also Iam unable to process the sendmail file:
i.e.
# m4 /etc/mail/sendmail.mc > /etc/mail/sendmail.cf
*** WARNING: missing -T<TMPF> in argument of FEATURE(`access_db', hash -o /etc/mail/access.db)
*** ERROR: FEATURE() should be before MAILER()
*** ERROR: FEATURE() should be before MAILER()
*** ERROR: MAILER(procmail) already included
*** ERROR: MAILER(procmail) already included
*** ERROR: MAILER(smtp) already included
WARNING: confAUTO_REBUILD is no longer valid.
There was a potential for a denial of service attack if this is set.

Big points for anyone who can help.

Rgds,
