Raid 1 to Raid 0 conversion in HP Smart array

We are asked change the Raid 1 configuration in a blade to Raid 0 to get more space.Raid 1 had two disks of 600GB each.After changing the raid level to 0 we still see the usable space as 600G only.Please help me to know if any further changes needs to be done.Command exected was hpacucli ctrl slot=0 ld 1 modify raid0
