    <description>&lt;P&gt;With some (generally newer) versions of some Linux distributions and VMware tools, yes.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;(If the Linux distribution already includes the appropriate VMware guest drivers for storage and networking, then the installation of VMware Tools does not need to stop any subsystems. With older versions, you might have to ifdown+ifup the network interface(s) on the VM after the installation of VMware Tools, which will cause a short break in network connections.)&lt;/P&gt;</description>
