topic RHEL 6 Device Mapper MUltipath in Operating System - Linux

We are testing the Multipath on RHEL 6.4 (looks like Multipath has improved since RHEL5) and we are testing on a Oracle RAC 2 node cluster. We have configured it OK it seems like.On the test when one side of the cable is pulled out (how do we do this ourselves? like in powerpath we could powermt disable the HBA), we could see from multipath -ll that one side goes down, but when the PATH is re-instated the recovery is not happening meaning the multipath -ll does not show the recovered PATH but instead shows it inactive. If we do service multipathd restart then it comeup fine. It looks like it is waiting on something. I am not sure what it is waiting on. Any ideas?

Simon G
