Hello,

I am trying to solve issue when I am not able to copy expected amount of data to DAT 72 tape. It is far under 36 GB (or more precise 33,5 GiB) of compressed data on tape C8010A.

From many forums and discussions which I am read I hope that DAT 72 hardware compression disabling can help in this issue, but I can't find way how to do it under Linux - I am using standard tools like TAR and MT.

Can somebody help me with this?

More info about my problem here.
