Hello,

I have 2 VM's running with RHEL7.2 on VMware. I am trying to install HP SG on them. For this I have mapped 2 raw disk from 3par and both the hosts can see both the disk. 1 of the disk has been added as quorum disk and cluster has been configured properly.

Now on the 2nd disk I have created LVM on host1 but 2nd host can't see my VG's. Even pvscan don't see any disk other than root vg. I can export the vg from host1 but can't import it.

Any help how to fix it.

Thanks,

I'm sure this is because of the partition meta-data details of the block device not updated hence, not available on the other node. did you try partprobe or kpartx on that block device on the node where the partition details were not noticed? I assume you would have done this already...

It was a silly mistake :P I think when I did partprobe I didn't check the status and when I checked the status I didn't do partprobe :-)

Many thanks for guiding me towards the issue... partprobe fixed the issue
