    <description>Hello&lt;BR /&gt;     Thanks to Bill Hassell.&lt;BR /&gt;I found that one scsi hdd is giving that problem.&lt;BR /&gt;I reformatted the hdd (after taking the vg backup) using 'mediainit' and then restored the data.&lt;BR /&gt;Now it is working ok.&lt;BR /&gt;We are not using nfs.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks for everybody for replying me.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;C.Sacthivel</description>

      <title>Error message during booting</title>

      <description>Good day to everybody.&lt;BR /&gt;I am a new bee to HP Unix.&lt;BR /&gt;I am facing one problem during booting in my D-class 380 server running Hp Unix 10.20.&lt;BR /&gt;During starting it is showing "/sbin/auto_parms, searching for DHCP server" and get stopped processing for more then 10 minutes and then start loading the remaining services.&lt;BR /&gt;I checked the netconf file.DHCP is disabled.I am not using any DHCP server.</description>

      <description>Unfortunately, this message is misleading. Behind the scenes, all the filesystems are being checked. Make a copy of your fstab file and then comment everything that is not in vg00. That should allow your server to reboot quickly. If you have any NFS mounts, check that the server(s) are working (ping, login, etc). NFS for the very old 10.20 software will hang for a very long time if one or more of your NFS servers have failed.</description>

      <description>&amp;gt;Bill: NFS for the very old 10.20 software will hang for a very long time if one or more of your NFS servers have failed.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I believe that hitting control-\ would cause that mount to be skipped.</description>
