Hi experts!

Our customer is planning to implement a cluster wherein DB is running in node1 and APPS is running in node2. Should either node fail, both DB and APPS will run on the surviving node. Is this possible with SG for Linux (or any other HA for Linux software product)?

Thanks!
ROMMEL

Hi Rommel,

Yes, it's possible with SG for Linux as well as with other Linux Clustering Solutions like RedHat Cluster Suite or Linux HA.

By the way, this cluster solution is called failover cluster and it's actually not a active-active cluster.

Hope it helps.

Cheers
- Thomas
