I am unable to see any disks, I am only able to see the processor under dmesg, any idea why I can not see the disks allocated to this port?
Host mode is set to 0x0C...

Did you ever figure out how to get Linux to see the drives?

I have a different problem...I am newbie to linux & recently setup SuSE 9.0 and it does not see the tape devices.

The HP service folk told me that the QLogic card just wouldn't work. Which was weird cause HP sold it to us.

I am happily connected to my xp256 using a QLA2200f.. I have been using it in production for some time now on a RedHat linux Dell blade.

Sounds Good,

I had the QLA2300f and was trying to connect to a VA7400(don't buy those) and had nothing but grief.

We just gave up and moved are mission critical stuff off of our SAN. HP is still trying to figure out what's wrong with it.

Hope you figure out how to see your tape drive.
