Shalom,

Run these services in different packages.

Its just a little extra code in the control script. You need to decide which package is critical and make the others check that the critical package is running.

The approach I take in similar circumstances is to configure the cluster to try and run all dependent services on the same (more powerful) node.

Can you integrate as one package:

Yes.

Just add startup commands to the package control script in the order the services need to start.

This is by the way the only way to be certain the packages will start in the order you want them to if thats important.

SEP

Integrate samba and tomcat with serviceguard for linux

Hello,

i am running a two-node cluster with serviceguard. Since my services i try to integrate depend on each other i needed to configure all services in one package. for samba and tomcat i use the toolkits from hp, but it seems that they cannnot be used togehther in one package.

does someone has any ideas how to solve this problem? i do not want to configure two packages that depend on each other as described here: http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=1080070&admit=-682735245+1179612207385+28353475. if anyone has ideas or has already solved the same or similar tasks i would appreciate your answers.

thanks,

steven
