topic Debian on ML370G4 in Operating System - Linux

I’ve got a ProLiant ML370G4 server, and would like to install Debian Wheezy (or Squeeze if it's more compatible than Wheezy). The server will have the SmartArray 6402 controller, on-board SCSI controller (for attaching a tape drive), on-board network card, and Remote Insight Lights Out.

I’ve looked on the HP site for the server, but can only see drivers and support for other versions of Linux and Unix, such as RedHat, Suse, and SCO.

Are drivers available for Debian, and if so, what’s involved with the installation, and is there any loss in functionality (eg system management and diagnostic tools)?

Thanks very much for any help.

I've been running Debian on an ML370G4 since 2006. Nice and stable; all the drivers are there. Might be an idea to stick with Squeeze for the moment, as I've been having some problems (random freezes) since upgrading to Wheezy a few weeks ago.
