    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi I used Archlinux Gnome now, and I can use the scanner 18 days ago, but recently, my computer can't scan anymore and stuck at the "Opening connection to device...", and stuck over forty-eight hours without any response. but the printing is still okay, and the hp-check without any problem, then I try to downgrade the hplip driver and downgrade the kernel reinstall, but it is no use, then the following information about my device and the operating environment:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Printer/Scanner : Color LaserJet Pro MFP M176n&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Linux Kernel :&amp;nbsp;4.14.3-1-ARCH x86_64&lt;BR /&gt;Desktop Environment :Gnome&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Driver Version:&amp;nbsp;3.17.10&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Computer Module:&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;MSI MS-7974&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;P.S. the computer seldom showed the error message "Failed to obtain the value of option mode" or "Error during device I/O"&lt;/P&gt;</description>
