we've submitted core dumps to the application vendor and to RH Support but no feedback yet. So I am hoping if others have encountered this issue too.

What OS and what kernel? What system specs?

OS is -RHEL 5.5 server (virtual under vpshere4.0).

ARS 7.5patch 0004isversion of remedy system.

RHEl support flatly declined to assist. BMC(vendor)still no dice.
