my advise would be to manually run through the steps your servers are taking to transfer this data to eachother. where ever the failure happens, you will know what the problem is.

Hi

I am using two HP servers. First one is HP itanium 64 bit server with RHEL 4.5, second one HP DL 380 32bit 4.5 version. As per our application logic is concern first server will take data ,process it and send it to second server.

Now issue recently i updated RHEL 5.5 version for first server i.e 64 bit. As per first server log is concern its fine but second server not processing anything. Is it OS specification i mean 5.5 version filessystems will not support in 4.5version?

Please let me know anybody ..

> [...] first server will take data ,process
> it and send it to second server.

Take what how, process what how, and send
what how, where?

> [...] second server not processing
> anything. [...]

With my weak psychic powers, I don't know who
was supposed to do what with what, how, or
why. I also can't see how you determined
that anyone was "not processing anything."

> [...] 5.5 version filessystems will not
> support in 4.5version?

We non-psychics also know nothing about any
of your file systems, but I'd guess that the
answer is no.

You may need to determine what these systems
are actually supposed to do, and what they
actually do, and why. It seems to me to be
unlikely that anyone will be able to guess
what your problem might be without getting
some useful information first. (Of which
there is approximately none here.)

Mura,

What kind of "Filesystems" do you use and between your Itanium and DL380 system? And how does this filesystem come into the picture? Do you have a shared filesystem between the two? NFS perhaps?
