cmaided SMART_READ_VALUES failed - hpsmhd show disk as Failed

We have 2 new ProLiant BL490c G6 blade servers with ESX4.1 installed and the latest HP agents (hpmgmt-8.7.0-vmware4x.tgz) installed.

On both servers we got an error in HP System Management Home that the 1 and only disk has failed (a HP 2.5" SATA SSD disk FK0032CAAZP)
Both servers show this error in the cma.log file:

May 12 08:22:59 server cmaided[3876]: SMART_READ_VALUES failed.
May 12 08:22:59 server cmaided[3876]: SMART_READ_THRESHOLDS failed.

Any ideas on how to begin to find what causes this problem?

Same problem here on a BL495c G5. I swapped out the SSD drive and re-installed ESX4.1 as I thought there really was a problem, and the second SSD did the same thing. I now believe that these disks are not "seen" properly. I'm going to be rebuilding five other hosts with the same hardware, and expect to see the same thing on those...

I'm going to open a support case to be sure.
