The problem i have is that the screen is very dark ie. i cant see anything (it appears that the backlight isnt turning on).</P><P>I have a g62-a70sm notebook / ati card with an intel hd integrated video. The only way i can get it to work is to use a i915.modeset=0 which makes boot take forever which results in unrecognized screen, video and random crashes in Xorg.</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>Is there a way to move to fixed mode graphics?
