Dear All;

I have installed nagios-3.1.2 and i want a plugin to monitor iptables service. When i searched on the internet i found a script called check_iptables.sh on the site http://www.monitoringexchange.org/inventory/Check-Plugins/Network/check_iptables

how to use this script as a nagios plugin?

In general You would have to put the shell script with other check_* plugins and define a new service in Nagios.
Nagios docs could help You with that a lot: http://nagios.sourceforge.net/docs/3_0/toc.html

Sub-sections on "The Basics->Plugins" and "Nagios Addons->NRPE/NSCA" [if checking remotely] should cover it.
