Hi, I need to know what is the maximum number of LDEVs (or luns) I can assign to my linux box.

I´ve a Bl460 with two Qlogics QMH2462 connected to two port of the XP24000 and multipath/device-mapper configured.

Can I attach more than 256 luns?

With HP servers and an HP disk array there are higher LUN limits than with non HP disk.

I would suggest smaller LUNS based on what I've read.

256 Luns can be added.

It purly depend on the size of LUNs that you are going to present to the host, since that will affect the performance.

Hi Friend,
when I added some LUN from my storage MSA1500 to the linux redhat3 the max luns that the linux accepte is 8 per FC port.
